Can we learn more from these girls?
While browsing the internet, we found an article from a school in Illinois about a group of schoolgirls who had not only embraced STEAM education but are mentoring younger students in these subjects and encouraging robotics projects including coding and 3D printing.
You can read the whole article here about the pupils and their projects and why it was so important for them to create an environment where STEAM subjects were more appealing to a wide range of students.
At Active Robots, we aim to help supply the resources needed for encouraging STEAM subjects in schools and offer several products to help aid this, from Lego® Education core sets which come complete with built-in lesson plans to Phidgets and Sparkfun products that enable you to build as you go and explore coding and circuit boards.
What more can we do to encourage STEAM learning in schools?
